For me it was Resident Evil 2 in 2019. Not because it looked better, but because it felt right. The police station was still tense. Every hallway still felt dangerous. Ammo still mattered. They changed the camera, modernized the mechanics, rebuilt the systems, and somehow kept the original fear intact. It did not feel like nostalgia bait.
