The New York Knicks beat the San Antonio Spurs Sunday afternoon at Madison Square Garden to the tune of 114-89. It was a dominant defensive performance from New York that had the Garden rocking.

As the game progressed, the Knicks faithful had more than the score to cheer about, though. Rookie Mohamed Diawara etched his name in the history books, attempting the most three-point shots per minute in a game ever, with a minimum of 10 minutes. He took 13 of said shots.

On the surface, some may think Diawara's shot-chucking may garner a negative reaction from his Knicks teammates, but it was quite the opposite.

Mohamed Diawara's Knicks teammates can't get enough of his confidence

In the locker room following the win over the Spurs, Diawara tried talking to reporters but was drowned out by cheers from his Knicks teammates.

"Everybody was like, keep shooting and take your shots. So that was like, the whole team told me to shoot, for real," Diawara said, as you can hear cheers and "Yeah, Mo!" coming from the background.

Diawara's recent emergence as a key contributor in the Knicks rotation has been massive. Over his last 10 games, the 2025 second-round pick is averaging 15 minutes per game, shooting 50% from the floor and 42.3% from three-point range.

We'll see if Diawara can continue to carve out a role for himself and play meaningful minutes come postseason action.
